What started as the largest chocolate Easter Egg in the UK has now been transformed into chocolate bars. We’re thrilled to introduce The Good Bar – a chocolate bar with heart.
We’ve teamed up with the incredible charity Home-Start to create a bar that gives back. Home-Start supports families in need across the UK, offering vital help during challenging times. Now, every bite of The Good Bar helps make a difference.
A portion of the profits from every bar sold will go directly to Home-Start, helping fund their amazing work in communities nationwide. So when you pick up The Good Bar, you’re not just satisfying your sweet tooth – you’re helping a family in need.
It took approximately 5 Days, and hours of logistical planning, to make Cocoba's 300kg chocolate Easter Egg, which stood over 7 metres tall.
It was the largest chocolate Easter Egg in the UK. But - it took less than 30 minutes to break it all apart!
Although it was very tempting to take a giant sledgehammer to the Easter egg, we had to be careful that chocolate shards did not fly all over the factory floor!
As the chocolate was being reused, we needed to ensure all the pieces remained 100% clean. We therefore used a chisel and (small) hammer to carefully break the Egg inwards, so the pieces tumbled inside, to the bottom of the egg.
When we had chiselled away enough to be able to reach to the bottom of the egg we took the pieces out and put them into a large chocolate vat for melting.

🍫 Our gigantic Easter egg weighed an egg-normous 300kg and stood over 7 foot tall (almost reaching the factory ceiling)!!
🍫 It took 5 of our chocolatiers 5 Days to make it (including 2 hour of planning)
🍫 It took less than 30 minutes to carefully dismantle the egg, ensuring no chocolate should be wasted.
🍫 We were able to create 3,000 of The Good Bars from the melted Easter Egg.
🍫 Last year Home-Start supported 78,900 children in 43,692 families, in communities across the UK. We are proud to be helping to support Home-Start this year.
