The Good Egg!

300 KG'S OF CHOCOLATE EGG!

THE BIGGEST CHOCOLATE EGG IN THE UK?

Here at the Cocoba Chocolate Factory in Kent we are always looking for new and exciting feats to challenge ourselves with. But this time, did we bite off more than we could chew by creating this gigantic Easter Egg weighing in at almost three hundred kilograms!?

MAKING THE EGG

It took approximately 5 Days to make all two hundred and ninety six kilograms of this gigantic Easter egg.

This was actually our second attempt - the first time we tried, the chocolate cracked and broke as we were taking it out of the mould.

We then tried again, this time making and assemble the egg in peices. This ensured the egg would not break, and we then used molten chocolate to seal them together to create one truly giant egg.

FUN FACTS

⚡Our gigantic Easter egg weighs an egg-normous 300kg!!

⚡It took 5 chocolatiers 5 Days to make it (including 2 hour planning)

⚡Its walls are four inches thick (that's almost 8cm!)

⚡It is 2m tall - that's taller than the average woman!

⚡The egg was coated 7 times over, and we had to leave it for 24 hours to solidify.

WHATS NEXT FOR THE EGG?

While we would never expect someone to buy our (almost) 300kg chocolate Easter egg, we definitely do not want it going to waste! Therefore, after Easter we will be melting the chocolate down, and reusing it to create very special limited edition chocolate bars. For every one of the chocolate bars sold, we will give a percentage of the profits to charity.
