HOW TO MAKE A CHOCOLATE FRAPPE

It's summer and your chocolate fantasies are in full swing! The colder months are over, yet you're still craving that chocolatey goodness! If only Cocoba had just dropped a fresh, exciting, mouth-watering new product for you to enjoy. Well, we totally have! Introducing our iced chocolate frappe blitzers. A refreshing and yummy way of drinking chocolate in the warmer months!

In this post, we're going to tell you how to make our new frappe (it's easy and only takes a few minutes) as well as our toppings of choice! Leave the Starbucks frappuccino alone this year and sink your teeth into some of the finest ice-cold chocolate you'll ever taste!

ICED CHOCOLATE FRAPPE BLITZERS RECIPE

Making a classic frappuccino drink from our iced chocolate frappe blitzers is so simple! You'll need a blender (and a few tasty toppings which we'll get to), but in under two minutes, you'll have a mouth-wateringly chocolate delicious frappe. Let's find out how to make one, shall we?

  • Pour 255ml of cold milk into your blender. We'd recommend using whole milk for the best results. If you are using plant-based milk, we'd recommend oat milk. In our experience, it has the same mouth feel as cow's milk and gives a wonderfully frothy result in this recipe.
  • Add the chocolate frappe blitzer to the party
  • Blend everything for 45-60 seconds or until the chocolate is mixed and there are no large pieces left.
  • Pour the yummy mixture over ice cubes and get ready to enjoy with some tasty toppings!
  • Tip: if you have a high-powered blender, (900w and up), you can add the ice cubes into the blender. This will give you a crushed ice frappe with a beautifully smooth milk chocolate flavour!

TOPPINGS WE'D HIGHLY RECOMMEND ADDING

WHIPPED CREAM

Iced Chocolate Frappe with Whipped Cream, Chocolate Sauce, and Chocolate Flakes

You can't really go wrong with whipped cream and a frappe. They belong together like whipped cream and chocolate chips! Or whipped cream and… Okay, whipped cream just belongs on everything! If you don't have whipped cream, or fancy living on the edge of cool, try adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream to your frappe! The frappe already has a scoop of vanilla powder in it, so including some vanilla ice cream is a great way of turning your frozen chocolate frappe into a dream come true on a hot summer's day!

CHOCOLATE CHIPS OR SHAVINGS

A chocolate chip frappuccino is always going to be high on our list of amazing things that we want to put in our mouths! Don't even get us started on a double chocolate chip frappuccino! However, if you have some of our hot chocolate shavings left over from the colder months, add those to the top of your whipped cream for the ultimate flourish! If you don't, mini chocolate chips are perfectly acceptable!

CHOCOLATE SYRUP

Whether you add chocolate syrup to the top of your whipped cream or ice cream or drip it around the inside of the glass for a very professional finishing touch. And yes, it's perfectly encouraged to clean this off of the glass at the end with your finger, or tongue or let your imagination run wild!

For a refreshing hint of mint with your chocolate chip frappe, you could also try adding crushed candy canes if you have any left from Christmas! Or add a hint of coffee with a shot of espresso added before blending.
